The Performing Arts program at Buhach Colony High School is designed to assist students in completing their graduation requirements, enhance their communication skills, and develop their appreciation and understanding of the communicative arts.
Classes involve the study of the components of all aspects of the performing arts including theoretical, historical, and practical applications. Students study various genres in the theatre and cinematic lexicon. Technical students engage in the study and practice, including design, application, and operation of all aspects of film and theatre production. Learning is accomplished through problem/project-based learning (PBL). |
Theatre ArtsBuhach Colony High School offers a wide variety of classes covering all aspects of the theatre arts. BCHS is recognized by the State of California, the Educational Theatre Association and the California Educational Theatre Association for its excellence in theatre arts education.

Film StudiesBuhach Colony High School pioneered the film studies curriculum for the district offering classes that study the creation of film as well as the enjoyment of the cinematic arts.

Extra CurricularBuhach Colony High School provides many opportunities for students to become involved in the performing arts including school productions, field trips to professional productions and attendance at national festivals and seminars
