Course Objectives

Students will:
  • create and perform a script spontaneously based on information provided
  • analyze and portray a scripted character for motivation, movement, and communication patterns
  • design and present a complete scene without words based on an instrumental piece of music
  • demonstrate vocal mastery by creating and performing a scene for radio
  • work as a team to create a performance for the general public
  • explain how theatre can be used as a community communication medium

Grading Policy

The grading of the course will consist of the cumulative points earned for various activities. These activities include
  • performance of improvisation show
  • performance of one-act festival
  • performance of improv show
  • performance of main stage show
  • performance of voiceover project
  • written and oral evaluations of performance
  • quizzes and tests
  • other activities as needed
